The Parkway Run & Walk was canceled because of weather. No starting line. No finish line. No crowd on the Parkway. And the community still raised a record-breaking $2,075,461 for pediatric cancer treatment and research at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
The countless hours, the late-night edits, the “one more email” conversations. The credit belongs to the families, the fundraisers and the teams who showed up even when they couldn't actually show up.

An annual run, walk and virtual challenge that brings the CHOP community together to raise funds and awareness for children and families at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Part of a body of CHOP fundraising work that earned two DMAW MAXI Awards in 2026.
I started at a children's hospital. Now I'm back in children's hospital philanthropy. As Senior Digital Strategist at Moore, I work directly with the CHOP Foundation on fundraising for Children's Hospital of Philadelphia: peer-to-peer events, donor journeys, paid media, email and SMS.
Children's hospitals were part of my life long before they were part of my career.
That's why I do this work. For fifteen years I've helped hospitals and researchers ask for help. And get it.
Here's what I've learned. People don't give to institutions. They give to a kid. A scientist. A reason.
The job is to find that reason. Put it in front of the right person at the right moment. Then ask. Clearly.
Every track on this record is a version of that.

Kristen. Jonah, Milo and Violet. You're the reason for all of it.
Every patient and family who let us tell their story. Every donor who said yes. Every colleague at CHOC, FNIH, Duke and Moore who made the work better. And everyone who ever forwarded the email.
Campaigns, speaking, panels, or a good conversation about why people give. I'd like to hear from you.
